Sideline Supporters is a Christian ministry designed to encourage college athletes and coaches on and off the field.
The goal of Sideline Supporters is to reach out directly to players and coaches of various backgrounds, sports, and schools and simply share words of encouragement and scripture to encourage and reinforce good character and sportsmanship.
College athletes are typically between the ages of 18 – 24. Between studies, personal life, and competing on a national level, athletes are under a tremendous amount of pressure. Sideline Supporters exist to provide a positive voice to the athletes that are giving so much of themselves to our universities.
Sideline Supporters Ministry is looking for men, women, families, Bible study groups and Sunday School classes to sign-up to serve as “supporters.” 130 supporters per team are needed to cover a football roster. The commitments are listed below:
Interested in participating? Here is the commitment we are looking for:
- Write a letter or a postcard to a designated player or coach each week during the regular season.
- The note should include words of encouragement and a Bible verse.
- Pray for the designated player or coach daily throughout the season.
